Paula

Paula was 15 when diagnosed with JHD but we did see signs before that age she was such a beautiful happy girl and always smiling. She loved all the things that teenagers do and she also loved her pet Sheltie dog Honey. She was a great fan of West Life pop band and also had a passion for dolphins. With all this in mind and as her symptoms were worsening it was decided to make her wishes come true. A web site was set up called Paula’s Wish and fund raising started to help take her to swim with dolphins in Florida. In the space of 3 months £11 thousand pounds was raised and she had one of her wishes come true when she swam with a dolphin called Natasha at Discovery Cove in Orlando. Her other wish also came true when she met West Life at Sheffield Arena. She always had a smile on her face even when in pain and was an inspiration to everyone who met her. She always managed to make us smile and still manages this when we think of all the many good times she gave us. She is massed every minute of the day and missed so much by all who’s lives she touched. Rest in peace our Angel. Nov 16, 1983-May 19, 2010.
